Architectural Acoustics: Sound Isolation

  • Orientation of spaces and the use of structures and systems to provide adequate isolation from unwanted sound in private offices, open plan areas, multi-family dwellings, and in critical quiet areas such as performing arts rooms, churches, recording studios, libraries and museums

  • Design and specification of wall and floor/ceiling structure, acoustical windows and doors, partition intersection details and penetration treatments for structures near noise prone locations (i.e. airports, freeways, industrial facilities).
